Thanks for stopping to get to know a little more about the Baylee behind the Baking!

I accidentally got into cookie decorating over the summer of 2018 after my sophomore year at UGA. I started my Instagram page as a fun outlet for posting things that I baked for my friends and about a month later someone reached out asking if I was able to do decorated sugar cookies, not realizing that my page was not actually for selling. I decided to go for it, more so as a favor, and absolutely fell in love! After posting a photo of that first order, I have spent thousands of hours honing in on this craft- though I continue to learn and get better over time! I officially turned it into a business (rather than a fun after-classes hobby) the following summer after going through a small business accelerator with UGA’s Summer Launch and now run it full-time as a licensed commercial bakery!

I spend no less than 100% of my time pouring my heart and soul into this small business, but in that tiny bit of free time, I love to travel, coordinate weddings and create custom signage. I'm so happy to be providing custom orders, predesigned sets, and cookie decorating kits to this wonderful Athens community and can’t wait to branch out further! ​
